Muscle Spasms

There are two frequent causes of muscle spasms. Muscles under too much load can spasm. In other cases, previous trauma to the area causes inflammation and adhesive scar tissue, constricting the muscle and resulting in a spasm even with normal activity.

Unfortunately, the muscle spasms themselves produce ongoing muscle tension — further constricting blood flow and promoting inflammatory responses — producing additional adhesive scar tissue and prolonged pain.

While muscle spasm may subside without Dermal-Fascial Restoration℠ (DFR℠), the area will be prone to re-injury or additional future muscle spasms. Releasing adhesions through DFR is critical for reducing and preventing future spasm episodes.
