Am I a Candidate?
Ideal candidates for the Mettler Method® should qualify for treatment by meeting the general requisites for pain and function. By ensuring you meet the predictive attributes, greater than 80% likelihood for success in treatment exists with the Mettler Method.

The following functional attributes should be considered when determining your candidacy for the Mettler Method. For successful results, Mettler Method candidates should meet one or more of the following attributes for function:
- Range of motion deficits

- Post-radiation treatment
- Scars
- Sub-acute or chronic sprains

Pain Attributes
In terms of the treatment of pain, our experience indicates that symptoms such as deep, intermittent, or diffuse aching are likely to respond extremely well to the Mettler Method.
Age
We have found the Mettler Method works well for the very young child up to older individuals. The versatility of this technique enables our providers to treat any part of the body including fingers and toes, the limbs, the trunk and the head and neck.
Previous (Unsuccessful) Therapy
Many people we encounter have experienced less than optimal results with previous physical therapy or modalities. We estimate approximately 75% of these individuals who have not responded to other forms of treatment realize 70–90% improvement with the Mettler Method.
Am I a poor candidate?
There are several conditions that would create poor outcomes. Attributes associated with less optimal response include:
- Severe nerve damage
- Neurological conditions
- Those who have failed medical pain management programs
